In 2012, 3 men, with different backgrounds, saw the need in the community for a comprehensive aquatic facility with innovative programs. Meanwhile, the South Jersey Aquatic Club (SJAC), had outgrown its training facility and was spread out amongst 6 different pools. So when these 3 men were approached about revitalizing the pool at the old Coliseum in Voorhees, NJ, they saw it as a golden opportunity.
