Summer Clinic Series
Take advantage of individualized instruction and small group size to get an edge on the summer swim season. Our Saturday Clinics will begin May 20th with a focus on Starts & Turns. Daily Stroke Clinics start on June 26th, focusing on a different stroke every session.
The Summer Clinic Series features:
- Technique driven instruction and feedback.
- Small group size with a low swimmer to coach ratio.
- Different strokes & drills each session.
- Open to all swimmers!
Individual Clinics are $25 or purchase a week’s worth of clinics for $100!!
Saturday Stroke and Turn Clinics: May 20th, June 10th and June 17th – 9:00-10:00am
Daily Clinics: Start June 26th
- Mondays Freestyle – 5:30-6:15pm
- Mondays Breaststroke – 6:15-7:00pm
- Tuesdays Starts/Turns/Underwaters – 5:30-6:30pm
- Thursdays Backstroke – 5:30-6:15pm
- Thursdays Butterfly – 6:15pm-7:00pm

American Red Cross Classes
Water Safety Instructor
Dates: This class takes place over 2 weekends Nov 4th-6th and Nov 18th-20th.
Friday 11/4 & 11/18 – 5:30pm-9:30pm
Saturday 11/5 & 11/19 – 10:00am-6:00pm
Sunday 11/6 & 11/20 – 10:00am-3:00pm
Course Description: Become a certified Red Cross Swimming Instructor. The Red Cross WSI program focuses on teaching participants different techniques and methods of instructing, to help people of all ages and abilities to swim and be safe around water. Participants who successfully complete the course will be certified to teach Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety programs including Parent & Child Aquatics, Preschool Aquatics, Learn-to-Swim and Adult Swim courses.
Course Requirements: Participants must be 16 years old, and be able to proficiently demonstrate Front Crawl, Back Crawl, Elementary Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly, and Side Stroke.
CPR & AED Certification
Course Description: This course will prepare you to identify and properly treat general first aid, respiratory, and cardiac emergencies. Hands on practice of skills in a small group classroom setting ensure participants have the opportunity to master and demonstrate important skills. Student who successful complete the course will receive a certificate for First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years.
Course Description: Through classroom instruction and hands on practice, students will learn to recognize and respond to aquatic, respiratory, and cardiac emergencies. Course designed to provide students extensive hands on experience performing water rescues, CPR, First Aid, and utilizing AED’s. Students who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate for Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED valid for 2 years. Register here
Course Requirements: Participants must be 15 years old, be able to continuously swim 300 yards, tread water for 2 minutes, and retrieve a 10lb brick submerged at the bottom of the pool and swim 20 yards to the side of the pool and exit to the pool.
Basic Water Rescue
Course Description: This course teaches basic water safety and rescue techniques. These skills will help make sure you are prepared to respond and assist in case of an emergency.
Specialized Senior Care Programs
Program Description: Specially designed for the needs of those with Arthritis, the class takes advantage of the natural benefits of aquatic exercise. Gentle movements work to reverse the daily pounding and impact on your joints. Exercises focus on improve your range of motion and balance all within the rejuvenating comfort of the warm water.
Program Description: Smooth motions and holding specific positions work to strengthen and stabilize your joints, improve balance, and expand your mobility.
Aqua Tai Chi
Program Description: Use the smooth and focused movements of Tai Chi with the added benefit of the water’s natural buoyancy and resistance. Our Aqua Tai Chi focuses on stretching muscles, expanding range of motion, improving balance, and strengthening and stabilizing joints.

Swim Tests for BSA & Summer Camps
Program Cost: $10
Going to camp this summer and need to pass a swimming pre-test? Stop by NLAC to easily and conveniently complete your swimming test under the supervision of one of our lifeguards. Call or Email to schedule a time that works for you. If you have questions about swimming or feel you need to improve your strokes, we offer private and small group lessons throughout the week.
