Swim team try-outs begin June 28th and continue weekly ending August 15th. Wondering about SJAC and why the huge following? The South Jersey Aquatics Club is the largest in the Middle Atlantic Region with the smallest feel. We strive to make the team an inclusive family focusing on the long-term success of each individual swimmer. It’s the approach, style, and brand of Pete Holcroft, who has spent decades developing the total athlete nurturing swimmers of all ages and levels. Pete’s philosophy of developing great swimmers while developing better people has resulted in a cadre of successful Olympic class swimmers and coaches around the country.
SJAC swimmers train in all strokes with equal attention given to all swimmers and special emphasis on details. We know each athlete is different, and whether a distance, middle distance, or sprint swimmer, the focus is on assisting each participant achieve their own maximum potential. A team is comprised of individuals – all with their own individual strengths and weaknesses. Each swimmer achieving their own success results in overall team success. Pete’s programs are customizable on a mass level for teams while still maintaining individuality. It’s what makes him unique and highly sought after, “It’s why we developed the SJAC Sports Medicine Team,” emphasized Holcroft, “My focus is on the overall health and success of each individual in and out of the water.”
Recent successes from this season include Middle Atlantic Region Senior Champions: 1st place for boys, 2nd place for girls, 1st overall team, and also the Gator Classic Champions! The greatest success as a team had to be the turnout at our Family Carnival last week celebrating our achievements on the scoreboard and also as a collective SJAC family. As we move into a new season, we are excited about increased interaction with all members of the team.
Additional benefits of SJAC include access to our Swim Smart Stroke Evaluation utilizing our Swim Ex 600T model therapy pool with adjustable current, underwater cameras to provide a 360 degree diagnosis of one’s strokes and a prescriptive drill plan to achieve maximum speed and efficiency in the water. Of note, Pete Holcroft is joining the Swim Smart Team and open to lessons. (Gentle Hint: Sign up early as his time slots will fill up fast.)
